Weights are based on the total weight including any gear. We have simplified the sizing guide. Consider the average conditions of snow, either loose or hard pack when choosing the sizes, since snow pack effects flotation more than weight.
Whitewoods TH snowshoes are made with premium lightweight 6061 aluminum. The decking is a combination of durable Hypalon in the weight zone and a full 2mm thick polyethylene in the toe & tail zones.We use oversized rivets and “dime sized” washers to secure all decking points. The crampons are a solid 3mm thick aluminum with an aggressive 360º claw pattern for a secure grip. All 3 adult models include 2 full crampons for a balanced and secure transfer of weight onto the most demanding terrain.
